The Little Flame is a game design project still in development. The Little Flame is a survival based morality game, set in an apocalyptic version of the present day. Our game gives the player a story that will challenge their better judgement. This is visual development for a horror 2D Platform video game.
Aine Character Concepts

Aine's (said like pine but with an "A" instead of a "P") concepts were extremely fun and were difficult to do. In her story, she is supposed to get off a candle to start the game, but has complications causing her to have wax over most of her body causing her hair to become stiff, but warm enough to still move.
Aine Character Poses

The poses demonstrated here are most of the things the character might do in the game. This character can not fight. The player must evade and hide using their environment to defend themselves against enemies.
Main Boss Enemy Character Concepts

Some concepts for Zurgion (pronounced Zur-gin). I had many demon concepts that were narrowed down to these three, but we then went back to just making him fire since he is where Aine's people originated from.
Background Concepts

These are the starting concepts for the 2D platform game. My Team wanted it to be dark and dreary as limbo while keeping a cute like appearance to players.
There are some 3D concepts since we wanted to see how it might effect the game, but ultimately decided against this idea.
Final Backgrounds

The final concepts for the backgrounds were done shortly after the character and styled to fit her black and white style. The backgrounds were inspired by the dark ambience of the game, "Limbo."
Staging and Business Model

This is the staging for how each boss's three level system would work. To give the designer and programmer an idea for how the stage look and run.
The business model shows how the game would work on both IOS and Android with the goal to release on Steam for PC.
Comic

This is the opening story that would lead right into the tutorial level at the beginning of the game, with a voice over explaining the unfortunate series of events.
